It was a crowded opening for the annual Kagu Akari (Furniture Light) show at Fishcake. Here’s my “Ghost Lantern” paired with a very cool rug made of astroturf (it’s worth seeing in person).
This was a really fun project for me because it’s pretty different than the work I usually do. However, I think there’s a definite connection to some of my recent paintings and papercut pieces. Can you see it?
The show will be up until November 9th, and Fishcake is such an inspiring shop to browse that you really have no excuse not to go. Plus, they have a coffee shop!
